![]() We were not supposed to receive the wands, but my husband didn't know that, he only knew hand over voucher get extra stuff for the kids as he was told, so he turned over the vouchers and brought back the banners and wands to our seats and gave it out to the girls.Īnother 20 minutes went by and in the middle of the show some woman interrupts us to tell us that we weren't supposed to receive those light up wands/swords AND PROCEEDED TO TAKE THEM FROM EACH OF THE LITTLE GIRLS. ![]() He handed our voucher to the woman and she handed him 6 banners and 6 light up wands. When 20 minutes passed and they never came, my husband went to get some at one of the gift shops. We were assured we were royalty that night and that the person selling banners and light up wands would come by. We chose to upgrade to the bigger banners. We had her birthday celebration announced and purchased a special headpiece for her, and although we didn't have her knighted, the Queen was gracious to allow the little girls to take a photo with her.Ī member of our party could not attend so we were able to use the cost of her ticket and upgrade for expenses while there. We upgraded for the queen's vip package for a group photo and front row seating. This past Saturday we attended for my daughter's 9th birthday. We have seen the changes, both good and bad, over the years. As a family we have attended 5 different castles over 3 decades. But it's just it, it's NOT Disney but it's an experience you all should try all try at least once. I jokingly said that we could've went to Disney for the total spent after tickets, upgrades, every light up and memorabilia item they put in front of us (that's my fault. Show: The actors were so great and were committed to giving people a show worth their money! My picky eaters tried a bite of everything with no funny faces, that should tell you enough. It was one of the best pieces of corn I've ever had and the chicken was juicy. The food: I have read comments about the food being good, but it really exceeded my expectations! Us adults said we would go back for the food alone. Tips are not required, but they work hard, so please tip them. Service: Our "wench" was attentive and very helpful when it came to particular allergies in my party. There is a full bar with tons of options for adults and kids. Upon entry we were given our VIP lanyards, ushered to take a picture that we would receive during dinner and told to wait around with the crowd until seating opens. I purchased the VIP experience add-on which included dinner, show, priority/preferred seating, VIP lanyards, flags, a slice cake and a framed picture for all for an additional $25. I took an 8yr old, 5yr old and 33yr old and they ALL had a blast. Worth every penny! Seriously, from beginning to end, excellence is the goal at Medieval Times! ![]()
